Welcome to Life As Sue!

Hey Everyone! Welcome to my new blog! I am so excited to get this started and share my life with all of you. Let me tell you...I have so much to share with you. Today, I wanted to let you know what type of things I will be sharing on my blog.

I tend to be involved in so many things. Whether it is with family, friends, work, school, pets, crafts, etc., I have so much to offer. So...here we go...about me and what I can offer you. Notice the words in BOLD...those are the topics I will most likely talk about in my blog.

I live in Wisconsin, where it is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. There really isn't anything in between. As I'm writing this, it is January and it's cold, dark, and snowy. Baaa Humbug!  I tend to start going stir crazy about now and get the winter blues that will last until around March. So, I try to find things to do to make sure that I don't get the winter blues.

During the week, I am alone...oh wait...no I'm not. It's me and the dog, Pebbles. Isn't she cute?
Don't worry...you will always hear about Pebbles. I will have a specific post about her.

Pebbles
Anyways...It is Pebbles and I throughout the week because my husband is an over-the-road truck driver. There are nights that he may be home, but not always. When he is home, I find it hard to sleep because he snores badly. I've been researching to find something to help with the snoring. If you have any suggestions about snoring...please leave me a comment.

I work full-time as an early childhood teacher at a local childcare center. I teach 2-3 1/2-year-olds. They are truly the best and the most challenging at the same time. If I find some fun activities to share, I will make sure to post it on here. Along with working full-time, I am working on earning my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Administration through Ashford University. I have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity to go back to school for FREE! My place of employment is paying for it ALL! WHOA...That is AMAZING! Sometimes it is challenging to be back in college at the age of 41, but yet, it is going so much better than it did when I was younger.

I do have children, but they are not here. I have a daughter that is 20 and is in college 2 hours away. She is following her mother's footsteps and wanting to work with young children. When she went off to college last year, I thought I would have the empty nest syndrome, as many moms often have. I didn't have time for that. That will be another blog post.

I also have a step-daughter and a step-son. My step-daughter is 21 and we don't see her much. My step-son is 15. He comes to our house every other weekend. He likes gaming on his X Box and that is where he stays most of the weekend. We are introducing him to some cooking...let's face it...he doesn't know the difference between lettuce and cabbage. Yeah...he needs some lessons in the kitchen.

    *Mini Home Renovations
    *DIY Crafts
    *Gardening
    *Quilting
    *Organizing
    *And So Much More!
